It was reported that 2014 First Hunan Youth Boxing Championship was opened on February 25, 2014 in Yongxing county, Chenzhou city. It would last for 3 days. 130 youth boxers would fight for the final title in this three-day championship.

It was introduced that the championship was sponsored by Hunan Provincial Sports Bureau and undertaken by Yongxing Government. From February 25-27, 2014, 14 teams of 4 groups as Male A, Male B, Female A and Female B would compete in 39 items. A single-elimination tournament would be carried out on this championship. The top eight winners for each item and six groups with highest scores would be awarded with relative reward accordingly.

It is the first Hunan provincial boxing game handled by Yongxing county, so the county paid special attention on figuring out detailed time schedule and providing best service for the champion to ensure its success. At the meantime, some facilities as special boxing ring, boxing equipments, and etc. were well prepared by Yongxing county. The championship course was divided to specified functional sections, which helped to keep good order for the championship.
